Nevis, 1988. When the team at Radio Nevis discovers that their AM broadcasts can be heard in Britain, a distant audience suddenly feels within reach. Their producer sees an opportunity: bring a young British singer to the island, record an original song with local musicians and make a run at the UK charts. Making that happen brings musical ambitions, romantic entanglements and strong personalities into the same small studio. Decades later, the song finds its way back into the charts. A British journalist travels to Nevis to meet the station’s original producer and hear how it all began. Moving between 1988 and the present, this musical romantic comedy follows the people behind an unlikely hit and the island that brought them together.
