Overview
A French lock-keeper, Albert Lefloch, goes on strike over a long-standing grievance, holding up a barge that carries a new aviation oil needed for the development of a supersonic airliner. Brian Stead and Willy Izard try to settle the one-man dispute, and Izard travels to central France to grapple with French bureaucracy and an obstinate old man, while Stead faces a similar problem at home.
