Overview

While Peter Thornton and Alec Stewart push ahead with plans for a giant tanker berth in County Kerry, Brian Stead is offered a high-profile government appointment for three years. He leaves for Stockholm, and deputy chairman du Cros, left in charge, stalls the Irish project. On the way home, blizzards strand Stead and Willy Izard in the Scottish Highlands, where Izard challenges him over his priorities.
