On his home patch of Hampstead Heath in London, Bill Oddie reminisces about his past travels in search of the best of British wildlife. We join him as he muses over some of his most memorable moments, and revisit some of his highlights, low points and outtakes from the past three series.

South Africa is the first destination as the Goodie-turned-naturalist explores other countries' wildlife. Cape Town has the perfect combination of stunning scenery and varied wildlife. On Table Mountain, Oddie finds a friendly hyrax and dazzling flowers before getting intimate with penguins, great white sharks and southern right whales.

The naturalist heads north to Iceland. On an expedition in search of the Harlequin - a duck that loves to surf the rapids - there is also the chance to see the birds that give us eiderdown, and to track the elusive predator of the north, the Arctic fox. He also sets foot on land that did not exist when he was born - the volcanic island of Surtsey.

In search of the hidden wildlife of the sunshine state, Bill Oddie encounters sea otters, chipmunks and sealions and a very curious coyote. He has a close encounter with a blue whale and visits the wilderness of Yosemite
