Overview
The program tracks the legendary journey of Aristotle Onassis, from his origins as a penniless war refugee to his transformation into a multi-millionaire tycoon and global icon. After his family lost everything in the 1922 Greco-Turkish War, a teenage Onassis fled to Argentina with less than $100 in his pocket. Through sheer ambition, a successful stint in tobacco importing, and an uncanny foresight into the value of massive oil tankers, he built one of the largest private maritime fleets in human history—earning him the moniker "The Golden Greek."
