Overview
San Diego Opera's Nic Reveles guides us through the history and music of Ruggero Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci." Leoncavallo's popular verismo opera draws upon the Commedia dell'arte tradition to tell its story of fatal jealousy set in the Italian countryside.
