The case of a man walking along the hard shoulder of the M40 who confessed to a murder, and the discovery of a woman found dead at her home in Havant. Detectives were pushed to prove what had happened when their suspect refused to talk. He offered no account of what occurred and whether his roadside confession could be used in court came into question.
