Season 1

Arjuna struggles to balance his demanding business responsibilities with his family's expectations. His grandmother, Nenda, becomes increasingly worried about his lack of romantic interest after rumours spread about his personal life. She arranges blind dates, while Arjuna attempts to guide his irresponsible younger brother, Putra. Meanwhile, Chinta's relationship with Syakir deteriorates because she refuses to compromise her principles about intimacy. These circumstances set the stage for Arjuna and Chinta's unexpected connection.

Arjuna's romantic situation takes an unexpected turn as he presents himself as having a girlfriend, despite previously showing little interest in dating. His attempt to satisfy family expectations draws attention, particularly from Nenda. Chinta becomes involved in Arjuna's unusual arrangement, introducing the possibility of a pretend romance that could benefit both of them. The situation begins to complicate their personal lives.

Arjuna and Chinta's arrangement develops following their encounter on Pulau Redang, where Arjuna employs her to impersonate his girlfriend. Although the relationship is supposed to be temporary, their interactions make it increasingly difficult to separate appearances from reality. Arjuna begins paying more attention to Chinta, while she faces uncertainty about her personal relationships and the consequences of her involvement with him.

Chinta faces a family emergency when her father, Dharma, is hospitalised with a serious heart condition requiring an operation estimated at RM90,000. Desperate to fund his treatment, she struggles with financial pressure. Meanwhile, Arjuna unexpectedly encounters her at a shopping mall and invites her for a drink, but she refuses because their paid arrangement has ended. A friend of Syakir overhears part of their conversation and misunderstands the nature of their relationship.

Syakir confronts Chinta after hearing that she received money from Arjuna for spending time with him. Believing that she betrayed their relationship, Syakir accuses her of inappropriate behaviour. Chinta strongly denies his accusations, but he refuses to believe her explanation. As misunderstandings intensify, Chinta faces growing emotional distress while also worrying about her father's medical expenses. These pressures leave her increasingly vulnerable to Nenda's proposal.

Nenda approaches Chinta with a secret marriage contract worth RM200,000, offering her enough money to help pay for her father's operation. Although hesitant, Chinta agrees because of her family's financial emergency. Nenda insists that Arjuna must never discover their arrangement and instructs Putra to make Arjuna believe that he has successfully won Chinta's affection. Unaware of the scheme, Arjuna remains occupied with an important business tender as his future is being arranged without his knowledge.

The secret arrangement between Nenda and Chinta moves forward as Putra helps create opportunities for Arjuna to develop a relationship with Chinta. Arjuna's growing interest makes the pretence more convincing, even though he remains unaware of the financial agreement. Meanwhile, Chinta must navigate the emotional complications caused by her previous relationship with Syakir and the prospect of marrying someone she does not genuinely love.

Chinta feels relieved when her father's heart surgery is successful, believing that accepting the marriage arrangement has helped save his life. She introduces Arjuna to Dharma, who welcomes the young businessman. During their meeting, Arjuna formally expresses his intention to marry Chinta, receiving her father's blessing. Although the proposal brings happiness to their families, Chinta continues carrying the burden of her secret agreement with Nenda, knowing that her reasons for marrying are very different from Arjuna's.

Arjuna and Chinta approach their marriage with very different expectations. Arjuna believes they are beginning a genuine romantic relationship, while Chinta knows that her commitment is governed by Nenda's secret contract. Family expectations and preparations for their future together increase the emotional pressure on Chinta, who must maintain the appearance of a willing bride without revealing the true circumstances behind her decision.

Arjuna and Chinta face the realities of their newly arranged married life. Nenda's enthusiasm for the relationship places additional pressure on the couple, particularly Chinta, who does not share Arjuna's romantic expectations. While Arjuna attempts to build a meaningful relationship, Chinta struggles to reconcile her contractual obligations with her personal feelings. Their contrasting attitudes begin to create misunderstandings within the marriage.

Chinta becomes increasingly determined to escape her marriage without paying the financial penalty stipulated in Nenda's contract. She provokes Zarina, an employee who has romantic feelings for Arjuna, by challenging her to attract his attention. Zarina accepts the challenge and changes her appearance to impress him. Chinta hopes that if Arjuna falls in love with another woman, she can end their marriage without financial consequences, unaware of how deeply her actions may hurt him.

Chinta continues concealing the secret behind her marriage while Arjuna tries to strengthen their relationship. His growing affection makes her increasingly uncomfortable because she believes their union is temporary. As she searches for ways to distance herself emotionally, the possibility of Arjuna discovering her agreement with Nenda becomes a serious concern. Her efforts to keep the truth hidden deepen the uncertainty between them.

The emotional distance between Arjuna and Chinta becomes more apparent as their expectations of marriage continue to differ. Arjuna hopes their relationship will grow into genuine love, while Chinta remains conflicted about her feelings and the secret contract. With the risk of exposing Nenda's arrangement hanging over their marriage, Chinta struggles to decide whether to continue playing her assigned role or begin being truthful about her circumstances.

Chinta opens up to Arjuna about the emotional difficulties she experienced after separating from Syakir. She explains that she accepted Arjuna's marriage proposal hoping love would eventually develop, but admits that her heart remains closed to him. Although she apologises, she cannot reveal the complete truth about the contract with Nenda, fearing that disclosure would require her to pay double the agreed penalty. Their conversation exposes the painful imbalance in their marriage.

The continuing complications in Arjuna and Chinta's marriage place greater strain on their relationship. Although Arjuna remains committed to winning his wife's affection, Chinta struggles with guilt, uncertainty and the potential consequences of revealing the contract. Their conflicting expectations make reconciliation increasingly difficult, while the secret arrangement threatens the trust necessary for their relationship to survive.

Tensions surrounding the secret arrangement reach a critical stage as Arjuna's relationship with Chinta becomes entangled in Nenda's earlier decisions. Nenda's attempts to secure her grandson's happiness face increasingly serious consequences, and Arjuna must confront the possibility that his marriage has been influenced by people he trusted. The emotional fallout creates uncertainty about whether the couple can preserve their relationship.

Arjuna and Chinta face an uncertain future as the consequences of the marriage arrangement continue to unfold. Questions about Chinta's obligations to Nenda and whether she must repay the money become important to her freedom. With their relationship increasingly strained, the possibility of returning to an ordinary friendship emerges, forcing both characters to reconsider the feelings and expectations that have developed during their marriage.

The relationship between Arjuna and Chinta approaches a turning point as emotional misunderstandings and the consequences of their secret marriage arrangement continue to weigh on them. Chinta must consider whether leaving the marriage will bring the freedom she originally wanted, while Arjuna struggles with the uncertainty surrounding their future. The approaching separation raises questions about whether their affection can survive the damage caused by deception.

Arjuna becomes deeply worried when Chinta goes missing and searches throughout Kuala Lumpur with the help of Putra and Zhafir. Their concern brings family members and friends together at Arjuna's home, where Nenda, Nabila and Nana anxiously await news. Chinta eventually returns looking exhausted and distressed, bringing relief to everyone. The incident highlights the strong emotional attachment that has developed between the couple despite the complications surrounding their marriage.

In the season finale, Chinta confronts Seri over her growing interest in Arjuna. Seri argues that she is willing to love Arjuna sincerely, especially if Chinta intends to end their marriage. Her words deeply affect Chinta, prompting her to reconsider what she truly wants. As their relationship reaches its final crossroads, Arjuna and Chinta confront the possibility of renewing their marriage through genuine love rather than contractual obligation, bringing the central romantic conflict toward its resolution.
