Overview

In Alaska, an Inuit hunter, Nivilak, uses a high-powered rifle to pin down Mogul's drilling crew in protest at the loss of his people's hunting grounds, and rig boss Tommy Eastwind, an Iroquois, sympathises too much to report it. Brian Stead and Peter Thornton, attending an oil conference in Alaska with Nina Kapler as Stead's adviser, learn what is going on, while prospectors serve writs claiming the concessions are theirs.
