"Home is where we are"
Damian returns to Taiwan, opens a restaurant, and starts a family with Jerry via surrogacy, navigating parenthood and societal pressures while raising their son.
Damian, a Taipei restaurateur with dreams of starting a family, welcomes son Kai Kai through surrogacy with his partner Jie Li. But as Kai Kai starts kindergarten and questions about his family arise, the couple must navigate how to explain the concept of a “mother” in a two-dad household.
Jerry and Damian’s family life is disrupted when Damian’s son from a previous marriage unexpectedly arrives in Taiwan—stirring up old tensions, new doubts, and testing their bond as partners and parents.
