Matt Devere is a British actor whose exact birthday and birthplace are not publicly available in major sources. His early television work includes EastEnders, City Central, Josie Lawrence, and Painkiller Jane (2007, as Rawlings). On television he is best known for his recurring role as King Osbert in The Last Kingdom (2015), Captain Yates in Halo (2022), and appearances in The Pillars of the Earth (2010, 8 episodes), Strike Back (2013–2018), Emerald City (2017), The Witcher (2019), Maigret (2016), Desperate Measures (2022), and SAS: Red Notice (2021). More recently he appeared in Silent Zone (2025, as Cassius) and River Wild (2023, as Walt).
