Leleng

Overview

Leleng is a mythical being, one of 'the tree mothers' of the far, barren forest of Borneo or Kalimantan. It is crying after being separated from her last descendant by the old forest guardian, who is in charge for seasons. Her hope as a part of the earth is drifting with her dance, a symbol of life cycle, along with the hoarse voice of a hornbill or Enggang/Rangkong which sung signs of nature on every chapter of her life.
