Aby Warburg: Archive of Memory

Overview

Visual essay inspired by the work of Aby Warburg, particularly his essay "Notes on a Journey to the Pueblo Indians". Interviews with philosopher Raymond Klibansky (who worked with Warburg in Hamburg in the 1920s) and art historian Margaret Iversen, complement a wide- ranging selection of still and moving images that create a vivid portrait of a legendary art historian who has become a cultural icon.
