Overview

In Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 16 year-old Vera, who lives with her parents and her six brothers and sisters in a favela, has had to leave school and get a job in a nearby factory, to bring money in for the family. She shows what day-to-day life is like for her, her friends and siblings, and the thousands of other young people growing up in favelas.
